Hartville zoning board backs sign variance requests
Recommendations for Cleveland Clinic, local business head to Village Council
At a public hearing on April 9, the Village of Hartville Board of Zoning Appeals voted to recommend that Village Council approve a request from Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital for a variance to allow a larger sign at its location at 876 W. Maple St.
The board also voted to recommend that council approve a request from Ariell Kenyon for a variance for a larger sign at her business, Pulp Juice and Smoothie Bar, at 841 W. Maple St. in the Giant Eagle plaza.
The next meeting of Hartville Village Council was to be April 13.
Consisting of three members appointed by village government, the Board of Zoning Appeals hears appeals from decisions of the zoning inspector when interpretations of the zoning law are involved. It may also grant variances from the terms and provisions of the village zoning ordinance.
