Patricia Kuhn-Morgan, an intervention specialist at Harrison Career Center, has been nominated for National Life Group’s 2025-26 LifeChanger of the Year award.

LifeChanger of the Year recognizes K-12 educators and school district employees across the United States who make a difference in students’ lives through excellence, positive influence and leadership.

Kuhn-Morgan was nominated anonymously for her commitment to creating a respectful, inclusive and supportive learning environment.

According to the nomination, Kuhn-Morgan welcomes students with kindness, supports emotional growth through conflict resolution and encourages learning through student voice, choice and acceptance of mistakes. Her classroom is described as a safe and calming space for students and staff.

Serving a rural community, Kuhn-Morgan often provides school supplies and resources out of pocket to help students succeed, particularly those pursuing vocational careers. She also contributes to education efforts across Ohio through curriculum development, mentoring new teachers and founding a credit recovery program for adjudicated youth.

Since 2011, the LifeChanger of the Year program has recognized more than 8,600 educators and school employees in more than 2,300 school districts and has awarded more than $850,000 in cash prizes to winners and their schools.

Awards include one grand prize of $20,000 to be shared with a school or district; four grand prize finalist awards of $5,000; 10 LifeChanger awards of $3,000; a $5,000 Spirit Award; and a $5,000 Spotlight Award.

Winners are selected by a committee of former winners and education professionals and will be announced in early 2026.
