River View Teen Leadership Corps raises funds with dunk tank event
Students and staff took the plunge to support the high school’s auditorium restoration project.
The River View Teen Leadership Corps organized a dunk tank fundraiser. If fans paid $1, they had the chance to “splash” a teacher, student or staff member.
The dunk tank fundraiser took place Oct. 3 outside Don Rushing Stadium from 6 p.m. to the end of halftime. Thanks to a donation from Thomas Fischer and Carol Lapp, the first 100 throws were free.
The dunk tank was an entertaining event for all ages and turned out great. The proceeds from the project went toward the high school’s auditorium restoration project. Udderly Delicious Concession provided the dunk tank.
Teen Leadership Corps is an organization that empowers teens to achieve their leadership potential through a character and service-based curriculum administered by high school teachers. River View is a partner school, learning while serving the school and community for 11 years.
