River View girls bowling advances to state
Lady Bears secure district runner-up at Legacy Lanes, head to OHSAA State Tournament on Feb. 28.
On Feb. 19 the River View girls bowling team was at Legacy Lanes for the Division II East District Tournament.
The Lady Bears battled all morning to shoot 3,242 for three regulation games and six Bakers games to finish as district runner-up by six pins and earn a trip to the state tournament Saturday, Feb. 28 at HP Lanes.
The Lady Bears were led by sophomore Morgan Rowe with a 489 series for a third-place finish in singles, junior Kaylie Bryan with a 459 series for an eighth-place finish in singles, freshman Kendall Duff with a 455 series for a 10th-place finish in singles, junior Karley Stocker with a 430 series for a 16th-place finish in singles, and sophomore Mya Dobson with a 407 series and a 23rd-place finish in singles.
The Lady Bears will be back in action Saturday, Feb. 28 at 9 a.m. at HP Lanes for the OHSAA State Tournament. Tickets are on sale at www.OHSAA.org.
