The Pregnancy Center of
Coshocton’s theme for 2026 is "Shining a light in the darkness."
“We want to focus on the light
we can bring to people,” said Becky Armstrong, executive director.
She revealed
the theme during the PCC’s annual church leaders' brunch Feb. 26.
“Our clients’ darkness could be broken
marriages, strained relationships or emotional exhaustion. We will make sure
our wicks are trimmed, our light is bright and our volunteers let the light of
Christ shine through them,” Armstrong said.
The
PCC was started in 1990. It is a faith-based organization that exists to
protect the unborn, promote life and family according to God’s design, and
provide needed resources and support.
For
the past six months, the PCC has been in its new location at 511 Walnut St. in
Coshocton, but they aren’t done growing yet. One new goal for 2026 is training
an education coordinator to meet with students and discuss abstinence and good
choices. They also will have limited ultrasound services and want to reach the
rural areas of the community and expand visibility without compromising the
Gospel. More volunteers are always welcome to help the center reach its goals.
“Our
youngest volunteer is 7, and our oldest is 78,” Armstrong said. “Age doesn’t
matter. If you want to serve at the pregnancy center, we can find a spot for
you.”

“It’s
not just about providing things like diapers,” said Karen Mizer, volunteer. “Yes,
we meet their needs, but it’s also about relationships. We listen to their
stories. I love my job. This is where God put me.”
Clients
are offered prayer and a Bible, but they do not have to accept. Armstrong did
share that in 2025 they had 184 client visits, and prayer was accepted 159
times.
The
Pregnancy Center of Coshocton is open from 5-7 p.m. the first and third Tuesday of each month and from 10 a.m. to noon Friday.
