The group collects small, unopened LEGO sets and monetary donations to purchase additional sets in honor of their son, Jaxon, who died in November 2024 at age 5. The gifts are given to children who are hospitalized or facing medically complex health challenges.Submitted
Jaxon’s Bricks for Bravery, a nonprofit dedicated to providing LEGO sets to children facing medical challenges, announced a holiday LEGO collection in partnership with Sir Troy’s Toy Kingdom, located at 4304 Belden Village St. NW in Canton.
Now through Wednesday, Dec. 31, the community can drop off new, unopened LEGO sets in a donation box located in the store’s vestibule. Drop-offs can be made during Sir Troy’s regular business hours: Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m.
While supporters are encouraged to purchase donation sets directly at Sir Troy’s, they also may bring in sets acquired elsewhere. All donated sets must be new, unopened and priced at approximately $25 retail or less.

Jaxon’s Bricks for Bravery was founded on the belief that creativity and play can offer hope and strength. By distributing LEGO sets to children in hospitals or managing ongoing medical care, the nonprofit aims to inspire imagination and courage, helping young patients build bravery, one brick at a time.
Jaxon, who attended school in Newcomerstown, passed away in November 2024. His family delivers small, unopened LEGO sets to Akron Children's Hospital and to children seen at the Akron Children's New Philadelphia office who are struggling with complex medical issues.
"Our son battled many complex medical issues until the age of 5, when he passed away," said Bridget Britton, Jaxon's mom and president of Jaxon’s Bricks for Bravery. "LEGOs were a distraction for him and a way to pass the long hours and days in the hospital. We hope to bring hope and joy, one brick at a time, to children in honor of our son, where Jaxon received all of his care."
All donations made to Jaxon’s Bricks for Bravery Inc are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.

"We are incredibly grateful to Sir Troy’s Toy Kingdom for partnering with us and providing a space for the community to rally around children who need creative moments of joy,” Bridget Britton said. “Together, we are building more than toys. We are building courage and hope.”
