Holiday meat certificates available for Coshocton County veterans and surviving spouses
Applications open Nov. 5 through Dec. 19 at the Veterans Services Office; proof of residency and honorable discharge required.

Certificates for holiday meat may be issued to a veteran or a surviving spouse of a veteran who show proof of being a county resident and have been honorably discharged from the Armed Forces.
Certificates will be issued by appointment at the Coshocton Count Veterans Services Office, 318 Main St., Courthouse, Coshocton, starting Wednesday, Nov. 5 and ending Friday, Dec. 19 or until gone.
Veterans and surviving spouses can make an appointment by calling the office at 740-622-2313.
Certificates will be issued to the veteran or surviving spouse only. A staff member of the Coshocton Veterans Service Office will review each application.
All veterans receiving a gift certificate must be a confirmed resident of Coshocton County for no less than three months as outlined in the financial assistance guidelines. A driver's license or photo ID is required. No more than one certificate will be issued per household.
Veterans/widows must provide the Veterans’ DD-214, NG-22 or reserve discharge orders proving under honorable conditions.
These certificates are for use only at Buehler’s Fresh Foods, 830 S. Second St., Coshocton. This certificate is only good for holiday meat and must be used by Wednesday, Dec. 31 or it becomes void.
The making of false or misleading statements and/or misuse of voucher may permanently disqualify the veteran/widow from receiving future assistance and may be subject to prosecution. All statements and claims made by the applicant will be investigated.
