Season’s
Readings from the Coshocton County District Library staff! The library plans to
deliver holiday cheer with special holiday events, festive décor, and, of
course, seasonal books, movies and music on display.
In conjunction
with the West Lafayette Chamber of Commerce Christmas in the Village community event, the West Lafayette Branch Library will host its annual Holiday
Open House Saturday, Dec. 6 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Stop
by before or after the West Lafayette Christmas Parade for cookies, a holiday
craft for youth, music and a door prize drawing, courtesy of the Friends of
the Library.
In honor of the
80th anniversary of the end of World War II, join us in learning how
Americans managed to create holiday cheer during the war years. The program, A
World War II Holiday, will be held at the Coshocton Main Library Monday, Dec. 8 at
6:30 p.m.

The December Bookmarked
book club pick is “Skipping Christmas” by John Grisham. A classic tale for
modern times, this comedic novel offers a hilarious look at the chaos and
frenzy that have become part of holiday tradition. Attend the book club
discussion Tuesday, Dec. 16 either at the Coshocton Senior Center at
1 p.m. or at the Coshocton Main Library at 6:30 p.m.
Members of the
library’s fiber arts club have been busy making items for the library’s winter
giving tree. Whether you are a veteran knitter or crocheter or would like to
begin learning, all are welcome to join. The next fiber arts club will meet Monday, Dec. 15 at 6:30 p.m. at the Coshocton Main Library.
Using the
latest research from wintery Scandinavian nations such as Norway and Sweden,
the upcoming program, How to Love Winter, will explore ways to avoid the winter
blues and learn how to get the most out of the season. This program will be
held Monday, Dec. 15 at 6:30 p.m. at the Coshocton Main Library.
Check out a new
holiday read and cozy up under a blanket with a hot cup of cocoa. Each of the
following books is available to borrow through the Coshocton County Library
