The Coshocton Ministerial Association offered a communitywide presentation by local pastors on Good Friday titled "Raising the Cross" at the Coshocton Baptist Church.

Applying a series of scriptural readings, the congregation responded in song, silent reflection and prayer while the cross of Jesus was reconstructed on the stage. As written in Luke 23:32-34, of the three nails that held him on the cross, the right-hand nail secured the upper end of the crossbeam, the right-foot nail held the crossbeam to the upright post and the left-foot nail reinforced the crossbeam’s attachment to the post.

Pastor Joe Pena at Coshocton Baptist Church said, "Today we’re having the Good Friday service. This is the first time I have been involved in it. My wife Amber and I love the community, and this is just a fine time to praise the Lord and get to know everybody. God is blessing our church, and we want to go forth and tell the world about his mercy. Our people here are great, and they treat us like family."

From the Coshocton Salvation Army, Gary and Corina Stein are envoys and pastors, as well as social workers, serving in the Coshocton community.

"Today we are having the Good Friday service. This is the first time I have been involved in it. We love Coshocton. It is a beautiful place. We have been here 10 months and are getting to know people and having a fine time getting together and praising the Lord," Gary Stein said.

The Good Friday service ended with silent meditation, observing the cross and reflecting on God's love for us.
