Coshocton crash injures two, driver cited
Accident at state Route 83 and County Road 271 sends two to hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries.
On Feb. 19 at approximately 12:02 p.m., the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call in reference to an injury accident at the intersection of state Route 83 and County Road 271 in Tuscarawas Township.
Upon arrival of deputies, it was determined 77-year-old Dewey Turbeville of Coshocton was traveling northbound on County Road 271 attempting to cross state Route 83. Turbeville failed to yield the right-of-way to a juvenile driving southbound on state Route 83, striking the passenger side of the juvenile's vehicle. The juvenile and the passenger Chloe Kohman of Coshocton were transported to Coshocton Regional Medical Center for nonlife-threatening injuries. Turbeville was cited for failure to yield right-of-way.
Assisting at the scene was Coshocton City Fire Department, Three Rivers Fire Department, Coshocton County EMS, Prince’s Wrecker Service and REACT.
