The Ohio Valley Opry of Belpre will bring a mix of bluegrass, country and gospel music to Carrollton later this month with a family-oriented concert at Carrollton Bible Chapel.

Marvin and Deana Clark of Marietta, founders of the Ohio Valley Opry, will perform April 25 at 6:30 p.m. at the chapel, located at 365 Steubenville Road. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.

The concert is designed to be enjoyable for all ages, with organizers emphasizing a focus on family, faith and country.

“What started as a dream between Marvin and Deana has grown into something special,” co-organizer Judy Cunningham said.

Cunningham said she has seen the group perform multiple times in recent years.

“We heard them at the Amish Theatre several times and again last summer on the Valley Gem, where they were performing for a riverboat cruise,” she said.

The Clarks have performed together for decades, blending music with their personal story of family and faith. They raised five children, many of whom performed alongside them before pursuing their own paths.

Marvin Clark performs with guitar and vocals, while Deana Clark plays keyboard. In addition to performing, Marvin is also a songwriter.

Admission to the concert will be free, though attendees are asked to bring non-perishable food items to be donated to the Loaves and Fishes food pantry.

A love offering will be taken during intermission, and door prizes will be distributed.
