Paul Eshler resigned as superintendent of schools at Augusta.
Carl E. Lincke, administrative assistant at St. Luke’s Hospital, Cleveland, and son of Dr. and Mrs. Carl A. Lincke of Carrollton, was admitted to the American College of Hospital Administrators in San Francisco, Calif.
A Carroll County horse, Honor Dale, owned and driven by Carl Dean Roof of Carrollton, copped the honors at the Jefferson County Fair at Smithfield when he took both heats of the pace for non-winners of $3,000 in 2:14 and 2:12, the latter being the best time of the week.

Florence Gotschall retired after serving as Carrollton High School’s secretary for 18 years and was succeeded by Donna Weaver.
Eugene Anderson of Antique Road SE, Carrollton, and chairman of the Monroe Township Board of Trustees, was named to fill the unexpired term of the late E. Weaver Casper of Brown Township as a director of the Ohio State Association of Township Trustees and Clerks.
Malvern High School’s football coaching staff for the 1975 season included Head Coach John Groff, Jim Bille and Ryan Shaffer.

Despite a broken arm, 7-year-old Tricia Sedlock was pictured at her desk upon returning to Carrollton Elementary School as a second grader.
Kathy Frase, a 1984 Carrollton High School graduate, was the subject of a feature story about her horsemanship at her Uncle Jack’s 20-acre ranch in Muldrow, Texas.
Members of the Atwood Ladies golf team included Maggie Early, Beverly Burkhart, Mellie Henning, Bette Anders, Wilda King and Helen Schrader.

Minerva’s Mayor’s Park, on land donated by Bill and Bev Palmer at the corner of East Main and Line streets, was dedicated when the deed was received from the Minerva Area Chamber of Commerce.
Joyce Ferguson and her husband, Earl, were honored by Carrollton School Board President Tom Pugh upon their retirement as teachers at Carrollton schools, with a combined total of 72 years of service.
Returning lettermen on the 1995 Carrollton Warrior football team under new Head Coach Chris Zurbrugg included Adam Kays, Eric McCort, Chad M. Warner, Earl Warner, Chuck Youngen, Shane Boley and Logan Bland.

Plans were progressing for a Malvern village walking track with the news that two grants totaling $19,738 had been received.
The Magnolia Music Festival kicked off with a celebration of country music featuring Jace Everett, Lorrie Morgan and the legendary Ronnie Milsap.
Returning lettermen on the 2005 Carrollton Warriors girls soccer team included Kaylee Knotts, Jamie Fitzpatrick, Chelsea Thornton, Heather Harris, Brittany Williams, Alicia Giannone, Colleen Tangler, Olivia Stone, Amber Williamson, Alex Fisher, Melanie Vance, Katy Hogan, Tina Laney and Jessica Thornton.

Dave Tucci returned as head coach of the Malvern High School Hornets football team.
Returning lettermen on the 2015 Minerva Lions football team included Logan Fritz, Chad Willison, Jake Preston, Luke Walter, Shem Haas, Brett Russell, Bryan Inscoe, Dominic Crowe, Adam Gross, Dakota Romano and Coy Mullins.
