Malvern students to appear in high school’s spring musical ‘The Addams Family’
Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday's normal boyfriend and his parents
Malvern elementary students in second through fifth grades are being featured in Malvern High School’s spring musical production of "The Addams Family," set for March 26, 27 and 28 with 7 p.m. performances.
According to Ashley Seifert, co-director, the original story of "The Addams Family" is every father's nightmare. Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family, a man her parents have never met.
And if that weren't upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he's never done before, keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday's "normal" boyfriend and his parents.
Students assuming main roles in the production include Gomez Addams, Brady Wilson; Morticia Addams, Gabby Slatzer; Wednesday Addams, Riley Spencer; Pugsley Addams, Cody Cobb; Grandma, Jacob McClelland; Uncle Fester, David Krutilek Jr.; Lurch, Tyler Witherow; Lucas Beineke, Andersen Myers; Alice Beineke, Bella Potter; and Mal Beineke, Cascius Johnson.
Ensemble ancestors include Grace Wallace, Kyson Wallace, Sara Partain, Dorothy Hanlin, Rylie Ranta, Seth Slatzer and Kayla Blackson.
The production is directed by Jack Skidmore. Tickets can be purchased at the door on the days of the show. Adults are $10 and students and children are $7.
Malvern High School is located at 3242 Coral Rd NW, Malvern.
