Eastern Ohio Grazing Council announces pasture walk

The Eastern Ohio Grazing Council will host a pasture walk Thursday, Aug. 28, at 6 p.m. at Circle H Livestock, LTD located at 10775 Trail Bottom Road NW, Dundee.
JR & Carrie Hershberger and their four children operate Circle H Livestock in Tuscarawas County. They rotationally graze 36 Simmental-cross cattle utilizing a 5–7 day rotation on 67 acres of pasture.

Pasture walks are typically held on the fourth Thursday of the month, April through October, on various farms throughout Carroll, Columbiana, Harrison, Jefferson, Stark and Tuscarawas counties. In January, February and March, the council hosts winter grazing workshops.
Anyone interested in conserving soil and water through growing and grazing forages is encouraged to attend the monthly meetings. The Eastern Ohio Grazing Council promotes conservation by growing and grazing forages and serving as advocates for sustainable and environmentally sound grazing practices.
