Conotton Valley principal, former queen crowns 2025 homecoming royalty
Gillian George named Conotton Valley’s 2025 homecoming queen in ceremony led by 1994 queen Danielle Caldwell
Conotton Valley High School’s 2025 homecoming queen, Gillian George, had the honor of being crowned Friday evening by the 1994 homecoming queen, who is now her principal.
The unique crowning by Danielle Caldwell took place after last year’s queen, Mylie Galigher, was unable to attend because she bowls for Ohio Northern University, which had a match that day. That is why Caldwell (née Danielle Chew) stepped in as the MS/HS principal and a former queen at Conotton Valley, where she graduated in 1995 and was the 1994 homecoming queen.
George, daughter of Guy and Mary George, was escorted by Konner Witts.
George is active in the Rocket Media Club and has been a dedicated member of the Silver Spurs 4-H Club since she was 5 years old. She is a member of the National Honor Society and the Empower Youth Coalition. One of her favorite school memories is being in Mrs. Clayton’s forensics class with her friends.
In her free time, George enjoys hunting and showing livestock at the Harrison County Fair. After high school, she plans to attend Kent State Tuscarawas to study early childhood education.
The freshman attendant was Emma Karns, daughter of Jonathan Karns, Jessica Deemer and Eric Leggett. She was escorted by RJ Higgenbotham.
Karns is active in volleyball, JO volleyball, basketball, softball and travel softball. One of her favorite school memories is making lifelong friends and bonds that can never be broken.
In her free time, Karns enjoys baking. After high school, she plans to attend college to become a physical therapist.
The sophomore attendant was Bristol Warner, daughter of Nathan and Weslee Warner. She was escorted by Michael Gentry.
Warner has spent eight years studying dance and serves as a student assistant. She is an active member of the Silver Spurs 4-H Club, where she has participated for 11 years, and has served three years on the Junior Fair Board. She also has four years of experience as a camp counselor and is currently in her second year with the Empower Youth Coalition.
One of Warner's favorite school memories is Mr. Gardner’s algebra class in eighth grade. In her free time, she enjoys art, crafting, listening to music and sewing.
Looking ahead, Warner plans to pursue a career in 4-H education.
The junior attendant was Ava Williams, daughter of Denell Gordon and Nick Williams. who was escorted by Kaden Leggett.
Williams is involved in volleyball, softball, photography, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the National Honor Society. One of her favorite school memories is traveling to Washington, D.C., with her friends.
A fun fact about Williams is that she loves the beach. After high school, she plans to attend college to play volleyball or softball and major in business.
Senior attendants were Lillian Booth and Delilah Williams.
Booth, daughter of Scott Booth and Darcy Rummell, was escorted by Ethan Booth.
She is active in volleyball and bowling and is also a member of the Scholar Challenge Team, National Honor Society and Drug-Free Club. One of her favorite school memories is going to state for bowling.
A fun fact about Booth is that she loves doing nails. After graduation, she plans to continue her academics at Kent State to pursue a career as a radiology technician.
Delilah Williams, daughter of Nick Williams and Denell Gordon, was escorted by Gavin Haney.
Delilah Williams is a multi-sport athlete, participating in volleyball, basketball and softball. She is also a member of the Drug-Free Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, National Honor Society and National Technical Honor Society. One of her favorite school memories is winning the district championship in softball against Strasburg.
A fun fact about Delilah Williams is that she is teaching herself how to play the harmonica. After graduation, she will attend Valparaiso University to continue her academic and athletic career, majoring in exercise science.
