New case filed 

Tyson Q. Hill, anonymous address, has filed a petition for a civil stalking protection order against Paige M. Hill of 11639 4th St. NE, Lot 14, Magnolia; a temporary protection order was issued until Sept. 25, and a full hearing on the petition was set for Aug. 13.

Jury trial set 

Members of the Petit Jury Supplemental B 1-65 have been ordered to report at 8:30 a.m. Aug. 25 to hear the criminal case of Isaac L. LeMasters, 55, of 416 Water St., Salineville, who was indicted May 7 on charges of aggravated possession of drugs and tampering with evidence.

Criminal cases 

A capias has been issued for the arrest of Lawrence M. Thomas, 45, of 90625 Jewett-Germano Rd., Jewett, for a violation of a three-year probation imposed Feb. 16, 2024, on conviction of aggravated possession of drugs.

Bond has been set at 100,000 cash or surety in the case of Johnny W. Stewart, 34, of 244 Bonnieview Ave., Alliance, who was indicted June 4, 2025, on charges of aggravated possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia offenses; pretrial was set for Aug. 7.

Bond has been set at 100,000 cash or surety in the case of Allison C. Pool, 39, of 1308 Oregon Ave., Steubenville, who was indicted June 4 on charges of theft from a person in a protected class and two counts of assault; pretrial was set for Aug. 7.

Ernest W. Sallade, 50, of 5236 Maplegrove Ave., Louisville, has withdrawn a former not guilty plea to a March 5 indictment charging him with aggravated possession of drugs (fifth-degree felony), possession of drugs (first-degree misdemeanor) and drug paraphernalia offenses (fourth-degree misdemeanor) and entered guilty pleas to Counts 1 and 2. Sallade was sentenced to 180 days in jail with 90 days suspended and given credit for 85 days of jail time on conditions that all fines and costs are paid within 12 months.

Damon M. Reckner, 32, of 1200 Valley St., Minerva, has withdrawn a former not guilty plea to a June 7, 2024, indictment charging him with aggravated possession of drugs (fifth-degree felony) and entered a guilty plea to an amended indictment charging him with attempted aggravated possession of drugs (first-degree misdemeanor). Reckner was sentenced to 180 days in jail with credit for 32 days served, plus a 250 fine and all court costs to be paid within 12 months.

A capias has been issued for the arrest of April M. Burwell, 52, of 4725 Cleveland Ave. NW, Apt. 57, Canton, for a violation of a three-year probation imposed Feb. 9, 2024, on conviction of aggravated possession of drugs.

A capias has been issued for the arrest of Alexander C. Williams, 28, of 6876 Aymoor Dr., Madison, for a violation of a three-year probation imposed Dec. 20, 2024, on conviction of breaking and entering and possessing criminal tools.

The indictment returned Aug. 7, 2024, has been dismissed in the criminal case of John H. Graden, 61, of 1214 Market Ave. N, Canton, on charges of possession of cocaine and aggravated possession of drugs (each fifth-degree felonies). The dismissal was made on a motion of the prosecuting attorney on grounds the defendant’s current medical issues make his ability to attend and participate in any current proceedings impossible.

Foreclosures dismissed 

The foreclosure action filed May 23, 2025, by Trust Bank of Richmond, Va., vs. John S. Kiehl of 4186 Avon Rd. NE, Carrollton, et al, has been dismissed on notice of the plaintiff.

The foreclosure action filed May 29, 2025, by Carrington Mortgage Services LLC of Anaheim, Calif., vs. Barbara A. Lawrence of 181 3rd St. SE, Carrollton, et al, has been dismissed on notice of the plaintiff.

Other civil actions dismissed 

The other civil action filed Dec. 4, 2024, by Billy and Kay Allison of 138 Oneida Trail, Malvern, vs. Howard Concrete Pumping Co. Inc., c/o Corporation Service Co. of Columbus, has been dismissed on notice of the plaintiff.

The other civil action filed June 30, 2025, by Capital One of Dublin vs. James R. Blotner of 4020 Patriot Rd. SE, Amsterdam, has been dismissed on notice of the plaintiff.

Child support order dismissed 

The notice of registration of a foreign child support order from the state of Tennessee filed July 22 by Ariel Weaver of Cleveland vs. Steven Weaver of 52 Gallo Rd. NW, Carrollton, has been voluntarily dismissed on a motion of the Carroll County Child Support Enforcement Agency.
