Carrollton school board accepts more than $100,000 in community donations

Contributions from local residents, churches and businesses support student programs, scholarships and classroom projects across the district

The Carrollton Exempted Village School District Board of Education accepted donations totaling $100,313.25 during its Nov. 4 meeting, reflecting the ongoing generosity of community members and organizations.

The donations, each valued at $250 or more, came from individuals, churches and local businesses committed to supporting student programs and activities across the district.

Among the contributions:

Alan and Donna Moser – $1,000 for BIB.

Andrew and Aaron Dodds – $7,500 for a book vending machine.

Anonymous donors – $5,000 and $5,500 to the Care Team; $750 for BIB.

Aultman Carrollton PT – $250 for the Care Team.

Carroll County Energy – $3,500 for the Care Team and Carrollton Band.

Carroll County Retired Teachers – $400 for the Warrior Bash.

Carroll Meadows/Emil Memorial Golf Outing – $6,530 for BIB.

Carrollton School Alumni Foundation – $12,086.04 for Nature’s Classroom, trees, T-shirts, yarn, and classroom grants.

Christ Community Church – $559 for BIB.

Civic Club – $1,000 for the Care Team and FFA.

Cynthia Yost – $1,000 for the Principal’s Fund/Scholars Program.

Deborah Postlewaite – $1,000 for the Amiee Postlewaite Griffeth Scholarship.

Decarlo Construction – $456 for Senior Banners.

Dirt Road Holdings LLC – $300 for maple trees.

Dodds Funeral Home – $456 for Senior Banners.

Field of Dreams Boosters – $6,036 for a mower.

First United Methodist Church – $1,105 for the Care Team and Care Team Thanksgiving.

Fusion Ceramics – $500 for FFA.

Girls Roundball Association – $5,538.10 for the Game Ready Performance System.

Grady Rentals – Donated safety lights for students.

Guess Motors Inc./Guess Ford Inc. – $887 for BIB, the Care Team, and maple trees.

H&M Tire – $375 for maple trees.

Hamilton Insurance Agency Inc. – $1,000 for FFA.

Harsh Memorial Church Missions Fund – $525 for BIB.

Huebner Chevrolet Subaru – $5,400 for maple trees, Adopt a Classroom, golf carts, and RIF.

J. Green Excavating – $812.45 for Senior Banners and hams for the Care Team.

J. Green Trucking – $556.45 for the Care Team and Senior Trips.

Jimmy’s Pizzaria and Jimmy’s BBQ – $912 for Senior Banners.

John and Melanie Campbell – $800 for athletics, the Care Team, and RIF in memory of Jeff Rainsberger and Deb Campbell.

John H. and Evelyn L. Ashton Preservation Association Inc. – $1,280 for Senior Yard Signs.

Keith and Judith Burgett – $500 for trees for a driveway.

Ken and Kathy Stoneman – $300 for athletics in memory of Debbie Campbell.
