The Carrollton Farmers Exchange has established the Bruce and Crystal Burgett Memorial Scholarship Fund in memory of two longtime supporters of the company and the local agricultural community.
Bruce Burgett served as general manager of the Farmers Exchange from 1997 to 2013. He and Crystal later lived on their farm outside Carrollton. Crystal died in 2019, and Bruce in 2024.
In recognition of Bruce’s years of leadership and the couple’s shared commitment to agriculture, the scholarship supports students from Carrollton, Edison or New Philadelphia high schools who plan to pursue a degree in an agriculture-related field.
Donations can be made online through the Stark Community Foundation at scf.fcsuite.com/erp/donate/create/fund?funit_id=9526. Checks should be made payable to Stark Community Foundation with “The Bruce and Crystal Burgett Memorial Scholarship Fund” in the memo line. Checks may be mailed to Stark Community Foundation, 400 Market Ave. N, Suite 200, Canton, OH 44702, or dropped off at any Farmers Exchange location.
The Farmers Exchange thanks the community for its continued support.
