complaint for money and foreclosure against William L. and Frances A. Marker of
77 4th St. NE, Carrollton, et al seeking judgment for $90,896.75 due
on a personal loan agreement for $94,283.52 executed Oct. 10, 2019.
Freedom Mortgage Corp. of Boca Raton, FL, has filed a complaint
for foreclosure with reformation against Brian A. and Annika Frame of 14790 Liberty
Church St., SE, Minerva, et al seeking judgment for $182,109.37 due on a
promissory note for $187,540 executed Oct. 25, 2022.

The other tort action filed June 20, 20s4, by George and
Tamara Pateras of 2019 Woodgate St., Youngstown, vs. Elizabeth Kubicz of 3028 Amsterdam
Rd. SE, Scio, has been settled and dismissed.
Civil Actions Dismissed
The other civil action filed Oct. 11, 2024, by Dannelle
Staten of 7273 Cashmere Rd. SE, Scio, vs. Cincinnati Insurance Co. of Cincinnati
et al has been dismissed on stipulation of dismissal.
The other civil action filed June 10, 2025, by Huntington
National Bank of Columbus vs. Brandon Evans of 166 Cheyenne Trail, Malvern, has
been dismissed on notice of the plaintiff.
Criminal Cases
A capias has been issued for the arrest of James A. Hiles,
34, of 883 Franklin Ave., Apt. 2, Salem, for a violation of a 3-year probation imposed
Feb. 6, 2023, on conviction of aggravated possession of drugs.
Substantial evidence has been found that Eric F. Hawkins,
41, of 1090 Bedrock Rd., Dellroy, has violated a 3-year probation imposed Sept.
18, 2025, when he was convicted of domestic violence (a 4th degree
felony). The defendant’s community control sanctions have been revoked and the original
sentence of 16 months in prison imposed with credit for 374 days of local jail
time.
Bond has been set at $100,000 cash or surety in the case of
Robert T. Lewis, 30, of 273 2nd St., Apt. A, Carrollton, who was indicted
Sept. 3, 2025, on charges of aggravated possession of drugs and possession of drugs;
case was set for a pre-trial Oct.9.
Julie R. Rearley, 59, of 387 2nd St. NE, Carrollton,
has withdrawn a former not guilty plea to an Aug. 6, 2025. indictment charging
her with assault (4th degree felony), resisting arrest and obstructing
official business (both 2nd degree misdemeanors) and entered guilty
pleas to an amended indictment charging the defendant with assault (1st
degree misdemeanor) and Counts 2 and 3. Rearley was sentenced to a 1-year probation
on 17 conditions, including serving concurrent 180 days and 90 days in jail
with credit for 4 days of jail time, plus a $250 fine and all court costs to be
paid within 12 months.
Probable cause has been found that Ray E. Heidy, 54, of 3126
25th St. SE, Canton, has violated a 3-year probation imposed Jan.
23, 2025, on conviction of aggravated possession of drugs; case continued to
Nov. 13 for a merits hearing and defendant released on $25,000 recognizance bond.
James l. Russell, 43, of 3243 Roswell Rd. SW, Carrollton,
has entered a not guilty plea to an Oct. 1, 2025, indictment charging him with strangulation
and domestic violence; bond set at $50,000 cash or surety and case continued to
Oct. 23 for a pre-trial.
Probable cause has been found that Donald L. Unkefer Jr.,
39, of 710 Valley St., Minerva, has violated a 3-year probation imposed Oct.
10, 2024, on conviction of aggravated possession of drugs; defendant released on
$25,000 recognizance bond and case continued to Nov. 23 for a merits hearing.
Amy R. Whaley, 58, of 448 N. Lisbon St., Carrollton, has
entered a not guilty plea to an Oct. 1, 2025, indictment charging her with rape,
attempted rape, sexual battery and gross sexual imposition; defendant released
on $100,000 recognizance bond and placed on GPS monitoring; case continued to Oct.
23 for pre-trial.
Probable cause has been found that April M. Burwell, 52, of
4725 Cleveland Ave. NW, Apt. 57, Canton, has violated a 3-year probation imposed
Feb. 8, 2024, on conviction of aggravated possession of drugs; defendant found
ineligible for bond and case was continued to Oct. 9 for a merits hearing.
Probable cause has been found that Ann M. McKenry, 36, of
3130 Jasmine Rd., NW, Carrollton, has violated a 2-year intervention plan imposed
Feb. 6, 2025, on conviction of aggravated possession of drugs; defendant found
ineligible for bond and case was continued to Oct. 9 for a merits hearing.
Mason D. Geer, 20, of 3111 26th St. NE, Canton,
has withdrawn a former not guilty plea to July 9, 2025, indictment charging him
with failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer (3rd
degree felony), and driving under suspension (1st degree misdemeanor) and entered
a guilty plea to Count 1 only. Geer was sentenced to a 3-year community control
program on 17 conditions, including 6 months in jail. However, in lieu of the
jail sentence Geer was remanded to the Eastern Ohio Correctional Center of a 4
to 6 month confinement and ordered to pay all court costs within 36 months.
The $25,000 recognizance bond set Sept. 18, 2025, has been ordered
revoked and a bench warrant issued for the arrest of Kase K. Plunket, 35, of
104 Josh Lane NW, Carrollton. The bond revocation was made on a motion of the Prosecuting
Attorney on grounds the defendant failed to appear at an Oct. 2 schedule hearing
regarding a Sept. 3, 2025, indictment charging Plunket with aggravated possession
of drugs, possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia offences.
The $25,000 recognizance bond set Sept. 18, 2025, has been ordered
revoked and a bench warrant issued for the arrest of Robert T. Lewis, 30, of
273 2nd St. Apt. 1, Carrollton, on a motion of the Prosecuting Attorney
on grounds Lewis failed to provide a specimen for a urine drug screen Oct. 2
and also displayed several indicators that he was under the influence of drugs
in violation of the terms of his pre-trial release regarding a Sept. 3 indictment
in which he was charged with aggravated possession of drugs and possession of drugs.
The $25,000 recognizance bond set Sept. 18 has been ordered
revoked and a bench warrant issued for the arrest of Jalizzea R. Sexton, 28, of
316 Jacquette St., Bridgeport, who was indicted Sept. 3 for aggravated
possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia offenses. The bond revocation was
made on motion of the Prosecuting Attorney on grounds Sexton failed to appear
at an Oct. 2 scheduled hearing.
Bond has been set at $100,000 cash or surety in the case of Marc
A. Pettinger, 59, of 414 Clay St., Malvern, who was indicted July 9, 2025, on
charges of aggravated possession of drugs and tampering with evidence
Jury Trial Set
Members of the Petit Jury Supplemental A Nos. 1-61 are ordered
to be present at 8 a.m. Oct. 21 to hear the criminal case of Tiffany M.
Quillin, 42, of 425 E. State St., Newcomerstown, who was indicted June 4, 2025,
on a charge of theft from a person in a protected class.
Possession Order Issued
The Sheriff has been ordered to take possession of a John
Deere 3336 Compact Trackloader located at 3275 Brush Rd. NE, East Rochester,
involving an other civil action filed July 16, 2025, by Deere & Co. of Johnston,
