Annual fundraiser at Minerva Community Center will feature Old Carolina Barbecue, guest speakers, raffles and silent auction to support no-kill shelter project
The Carroll County Animal Protection League will hold its 15th annual benefit dinner and silent auction Oct. 25 at the Minerva Community Center, 123 Brock Ave., behind the Minerva Cheese Store off state Route 30.
Doors open at 4 p.m. for bidding on silent auction items. A 50/50 raffle and door prizes, donated by Pampers Treasures of Scio and Amanda White, also will be featured. Guest speakers will include Laura Groves, founder of AlterClinic Animal Care in Canton, and Jennifer Conley, director.
Dinner will be served from 5-6 p.m. by Old Carolina Barbecue. The buffet menu includes pulled pork, boneless chicken breast, grilled vegetable pasta, garlic mashed potatoes, green beans, creamy coleslaw, roll and butter, beverages and pie. Half of the pies are being donated by Ulman’s Bakery of Carrollton.
Tickets are $25 for adults and $12 for children 12 and under. The purchase deadline is Oct. 18. To buy tickets, mail a check to CCAPL, P.O. Box 353, Carrollton, OH 44615, noting “BD/SA tickets” in the memo line. For more information, call Eileen Rohrer at 330-415-1426 between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.
All proceeds will benefit the Carroll County Animal Protection League’s no-kill animal shelter project, supporting operating needs and adoption services.
