The Humanity is Responsible for Humanity Foundation
recently held its annual Gratitude Dinner Jan. 23 at Good Shepherd Hall in
Malvern. Members recognized donors, volunteers and community partners who
support the organization’s mission.
The dinner was held Jan. 23 at Good Shepherd Hall in
Malvern. Dinner was prepared and served by Matt Kishman of Kishman’s, and
dessert was provided by Ulman’s Bakery of Carrollton.
During the event, the foundation reflected on work
accomplished in 2025 and shared goals for 2026. HRH provides basic needs items
to children in crisis, including food, clothing, hygiene products, baby
essentials, feminine hygiene products, bedding and educational items.
Since 2021, HRH has served more than 600 children and
provided more than 24,000 meals to children in crisis. In 2025 alone, the
organization served 56 individuals in crisis and provided meals to nearly 400
children in Carroll County schools.
Tanya Carter was recognized as the Gratitude Person of the
Year for her dedication and selfless support of the foundation’s mission.
Emily Jeromin spoke during the evening, sharing remarks
that organizers said resonated with those in attendance.
Musical entertainment was provided by Mindy Domer’s
Carrollton Chamber Choir.
The foundation also highlighted its upcoming Community
Drive planned for April. This year’s drive will focus on collecting blankets
and pillowcases for children in need.
HRH Foundation officers and board members in attendance
included Emily Jeromin, officer; Tait Edie, treasurer; Libby Teeter, secretary;
Laiton Carter, founder; Tanya Carter, Gratitude Person of the Year recipient;
Maci Manfull, vice president; Tasha Poole, president; Mary Frances Trushel,
officer; and Kristen Yeager, officer.
Organizers thanked community partners and supporters for
helping make the event possible and for their continued commitment to serving
children in crisis throughout the county.
