YMCA accepting applications for Patton scholarship
Recipients are recognized for outstanding contributions to the Tuscarawas County YMCA
The Tuscarawas County YMCA is accepting applications for the 2026 Thomas J. Patton YMCA Scholarship. Applications are available at the YMCA, at tuscymca.org or through area high school guidance offices. Completed applications are due to the Tuscarawas County YMCA by Tuesday, March 31.
Recipients are recognized for outstanding contributions to the Tuscarawas County YMCA through volunteer leadership, staff leadership and service, along with academic achievement and community involvement. The Patton scholarship has been awarded to 112 area students since it was created in 1990.
Selection is based on the following factors:
— YMCA volunteer leadership
— YMCA staff leadership
— Financial need
— Participation in church, school, and community activites
— Academic ability for next level of education
— Work ethic to achieve goals
