The Tuscarawas County Cattle Association held its 36th annual banquet Feb. 10 at Union Hill Church in Sugarcreek, with 69 members and guests attending.
Guests enjoyed a roast beef and chicken dinner before the program began. Association President Matt Graham welcomed those attending and thanked sponsors Steve Cronebaugh of Cronebaugh Auction and Realty and CYA Exchange, along with Larry Habrun of Habrun’s Insurance, for supporting the banquet. Kendall Bick gave the invocation.

After the meal, Graham conducted the annual election of directors. He announced that Fred Tuerler and Kevin Hinds would be stepping down as directors and thanked them for their years of service.
Directors up for renewal included Justin Specht, Jerry Prysi and Guy Zeigler. New nominees were Jeremy Evans, Kaci Himes and Cole Liggett. Members voted by ballot.
Elected to serve two-year terms for 2026-27 were Evans, Liggett, Prysi, Specht and Zeigler. They will join current board members Graham, Donnie Himes, Mark Lewis, Eric Prysi and Kriss Raber.
Hinds presented the treasurer’s report, summarizing beef trailer events held during the year, including the number of sandwiches served, donations made and facility improvements.
Guest speaker Dr. Joe Varga shared a collection of vintage veterinary instruments and demonstrated how several were used.
Whitney Specht introduced 2025 Tuscarawas County Beef Queen Adyson Hursey and 2025 Beef Princess Arrington Sharrock, who reflected on their year representing the association. Specht also introduced 2026 Tuscarawas County Beef Queen Katrina Stoneman and 2026 Beef Princess Danielle Stoneman.
