Navarre Bethlehem Historical Society plans holiday events after successful car show
Group to join Christmas in Bethlehem Nov. 7–8 with boutique, parade and Santa ride; final meeting of the year set for Nov. 12
The Navarre Bethlehem Township Historical Society held its October meeting to review the success of its annual car show, held Sept. 28. Members thanked volunteers and participants who helped make the event possible, noting that the weather, music and food all contributed to a great day.
Looking ahead, the society will participate in Christmas in Bethlehem Nov. 7–8. The society’s Christmas boutique will be open from noon to 4 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, offering a variety of holiday items for sale. The annual Christmas parade is set for Friday at 6:30 p.m., with Santa Claus riding on the society’s antique fire truck.
The society’s next meeting will be Nov. 12, its final regular meeting of the year. Members will take a break in December to allow volunteers to enjoy the holidays with their families.
The group reminds the community that aluminum cans may still be donated in the collection barrels outside the education building throughout the holiday season. Note: cat food cans are no longer accepted.
