MAVIN marks 50 years of family craftsmanship and innovation

MAVIN, a third-generation, family-owned company based in Ohio’s Amish Country, is celebrating 50 years of innovation, perseverance and quality craftsmanship across its three divisions — MAVIN Furniture, MAVIN Timber and MAVIN Pallet.

From its humble beginnings as a two-man logging operation, MAVIN has grown into a vertically integrated wood products company, managing everything from sustainable timber harvesting to handcrafted furniture and durable pallets.

“Celebrating 50 years means we’re dependable and we know what we’re doing,” said Bryan Coblentz, president of MAVIN. “We know our place in the market and how to serve our partners, and that kind of longevity is something to be incredibly thankful for.”

MAVIN combines traditional craftsmanship with modern technology, including computer-aided design and lean manufacturing principles, to ensure quality across all its products. Celebrating half a century in business, the company continues to uphold its mission of delivering sustainable, American-made wood products while serving the local and regional communities that have supported it for decades.

“The 50-year celebration is more than just a milestone — it’s a story of perseverance,” Coblentz said. “Throughout our journey, unexpected challenges arose, but our commitment to quality and community never wavered. This milestone reflects the dedication of our entire team.”

One of the company’s most significant challenges came in 2017, when its original mill was destroyed by fire. Despite the setback, MAVIN quickly rebuilt and resumed production by April 2018, demonstrating its resilience and ongoing commitment to both its craft and its community.
