Grant Kindness Night at the Races set for Jan. 31
Additional activities include sideboards, basket raffles, a 50/50 drawing and a second-chance drawing
Grant Kindness will host its Night at the Races fundraiser Saturday, Jan. 31, at The Marilyn at Monroe Mall, 1260 Monroe St.
Doors open at 5 p.m., with dinner served at 5:30 p.m. The first race begins at 7 p.m.
Attendees can place $2 bets before each race. Once betting closes, odds will be calculated and the race will be played, with horse names announced throughout the event. Ten races are planned.
A special auction race will also be held. Horses will be auctioned to the highest bidder or groups, and the owner of the winning horse will receive 50% of the auction pot.
Additional activities include sideboards, basket raffles, a 50/50 drawing and a second-chance drawing.
Proceeds benefit Grant Kindness, an organization that promotes compassion, kindness and awareness throughout the community.
