Dover U12 soccer team finishes runner-up at Ohio Travel Cup
Team goes undefeated in group play before falling in championship match; competes in Division 3 South of Ohio Travel Soccer League.
The Dover U12 competitive soccer team finished as runner-up in the Ohio Travel Cup, held Oct. 4-5 in Wadsworth and Lodi.
Dover went undefeated in group play, defeating Riverside 1-0, Wadsworth 4-0 and Eastlake 5-3 to advance to the championship match. North Ridgeville, which advanced from its group against Copley, Twinsburg and Shaker, edged Dover 2-1 in the final on a late goal.
The Dover U12 team also competes in the Ohio Travel Soccer League in the Division 3 South region.
The tournament roster included: Daniel Lopez Calel, Miguel Rubio Santiago, John Hernandez, Ayrton Diemling, Atticus Johnson, Micqueas Lorenz Mendoza, Abbas Bouhachem, Dylan Lunau and Laker Hay, Gideon Johnson, Maverick Wright, Samson Studer and Liam Villatoro Lopez and Beckham Wood coached by Nate Johnson, Brian Lunau and Casey Hay.
