“It is always fun to see which titles resonate with the community in any given year,” Library Director Jim Gill said. “Fiction titles usually are the most popular in public libraries. In 2025 our top adult nonfiction title was Elizabeth Camarillo Gutierrez’s ‘My Side of the River,’ which was the countywide title for One Book, One Community, organized annually by the Tuscarawas County Literacy Coalition.”
Gill said Dover Public Library circulation totaled more than 300,000 items in 2025, including books, DVDs, e-books, audiobooks and magazines.
Gill also invited the public to participate in the library’s 100 Book Club, which challenges readers to complete and record 100 books during 2026.
“This is a fun and very challenging annual tradition at our library,” Gill said. “We provide the reading log, which helps participants track the books they have read. At the conclusion of the year, a special reception is held at the library to honor those who accomplished the feat.”
