Dover library to feature Loretta Lynn portrayal Oct. 23
Actor Juliette Regnier to bring country legend’s life and music to the stage in College Club partnership event
The College Club of Tuscarawas County is partnering with Dover Public Library to host actor Juliette Regnier in a portrayal of Loretta Lynn, the Queen of Country Music. The program will take place Thursday, Oct. 23, at 6:30 p.m. in the library’s Community Room, 525 N. Walnut St., Dover.
Regnier will bring to life Lynn’s journey from humble beginnings in Kentucky to worldwide stardom. A self-taught guitarist and songwriter, Lynn won four Grammy Awards and sold more than 45 million records, including “Coal Miner’s Daughter,” “Fist City” and “Don’t Come Home A’ Drinkin’ With Lovin’ on Your Mind.”
An actor, singer, playwright and American Sign Language interpreter, Regnier appears through the organization Women in History Ohio. She has created and produced four cabarets and a series of one-acts called “The S Plays.” Her credits also include roles in the Netflix series “Mindhunter” and “Archive 81.” Regnier earned a bachelor’s degree in theater and communications, studied with the Moscow Art Theater at Harvard, and taught acting at Case Western Reserve University for nine years.
Registration is available at www.doverlibrary.org/events or by calling 330-343-6123.
