The Dominic Greco Band announced two upcoming outdoor summer concerts.

The open-air performances will be Saturday, July 19 at 7 p.m. at the Sugarcreek Fire Station Pavilion and Sunday, July 20 at 7 p.m. at the Tuscora Park Amphitheatre in New Philadelphia.

Each concert will feature a program inspired by childhood, animation and American musical favorites. Audience members can expect selections such as “Looney Tunes Overture,” “Disney Favorites” and “Cartoons in Concert,” which pay tribute to animated classics.

Also included in the program are reflective works like “Childhood Hymn,” conducted by Micah Carrick, and the Percy Grainger classic “Children’s March,” conducted by Robbie Kaser. A score from the modern animated film “How to Train Your Dragon” will add cinematic flair to the evening.

Vocalist Ron Barkett will perform American standards including “They Can’t Take That Away from Me” and “Beyond the Sea.”

Concertgoers are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and picnic blankets. Admission is free.

Now in its 106th year, the Dominic Greco Band is under the direction of Brian Botdorf, Cheryl Graham and April Linard.
