Cross Caffé to host third annual Holiday Kickoff Pop-Up Nov. 15

The third annual Cross Caffé Holiday Kickoff Pop-Up will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, at 201 Second St. NW in Strasburg. The cafe will open at 9 a.m. that day, and admission is free.

The event is organized by Katie Vickers and Kelly Minard and sponsored by Cross Caffé.

“Kelly and I work together on this event, and we are featuring small local businesses,” Vickers said. “It’s a great way to kick off the holiday season. We have 16 vendors — the most we’ve featured in three years. This year, City Limits Western Store, located in Massillon, will have a trailer parked outside the cafe. They feature western merchandise.”

The event will include raffles, door prizes, and food and beverage specials. Vendor Bingo will give attendees a chance to fill up a card with stamps from each vendor for entry into a grand prize drawing.

There will be plenty of parking available around the cafe, including in front of the building, across the street and in nearby bank parking lots.

A special promotion will be offered during the event: For every $25 spent on a Cross Caffé gift card, customers will receive a $5 gift card to use at the cafe.

Returning vendors include Hand-Painted Ceramics, PaperPie Books, Blankets by Peggy, Gatherings Bread Company, D4U Jewelry, Mary Kay Cosmetics, Annie’s Florals, Strasburg Parent Teacher Group, Damsel in Defense, Strasburg Christmas in the Village, Countryside Sweets and Wreaths by Nicole.

New vendors this year are City Limits Western Store, Crafts by Sharon, Outcast Trading Cards Company and Cross Caffé Community Calendar.

Cross Caffé is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Funds raised support the causes the cafe spotlights each month. Vickers said employees “Pray It Forward” for those special causes.
