Buckeye Career Center to hold Fall Open House Nov. 6
Event invites students, families and alumni to tour programs, meet instructors and apply for 2026–27 school year
Buckeye Career Center will welcome prospective students, families, alumni, former staff and community members to its annual Fall Open House Thursday, Nov. 6, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
The event offers visitors the chance to tour the facility, meet instructors and explore more than 30 career-technical programs available to area high school students. Classrooms and labs will be open for exploration, and academic displays will be featured in the cafeteria. A complimentary meal will be served to all guests.
A highlight of the evening will be the opening of the 2026–2027 high school application at 5:30 p.m. Attendees may apply using paper forms or Buckeye Career Center’s on-site technology. Applications will also go live online at www.BuckeyeCareerCenter.org at the same time. Students who apply during the open house will receive a small gift for completing their application.
The Adult Education department will be present to share information on full-time, part-time and career-enhancement opportunities. Staff will highlight the Adult Diploma Program, which is available at no cost to Ohio residents age 18 or older who have not earned a high school diploma. Program graduates earn both a diploma and industry-recognized credentials.
Alumni and former staff are invited to gather in the Joe Carlisle Marketplace, where refreshments will be served and past yearbooks will be on display. Alumni will receive a special gift, and marketplace visitors may purchase cookies, coffee, flowers and Buckeye Career Center apparel.
The open house is free and open to the public. While registration is not required, visiting high school students are encouraged to sign in at the cafeteria upon arrival.
Buckeye Career Center is located at 545 University Drive NE, New Philadelphia.
