Amanda Fontana officially launched her campaign for state representative in Ohio House District 51 with a kickoff event at The Marilyn in New Philadelphia Nov. 5. Surrounded by family, friends and community members, Fontana shared her vision for a government that listens to constituents—not donors.
The event also marked a personal milestone for Fontana, who celebrated her 44th birthday with the theme “44 and Forward.” The celebration reflected her commitment to progress, optimism and community connection—values that define both her campaign and her approach to leadership.
A third-generation resident of the district, Fontana spoke about her lifelong connection to the community and her dedication to prioritizing the needs of the people. As a mother, educator and social worker, she emphasized that real leadership means listening to those you serve.
“The people of our community deserve a representative who listens, cares and acts for them—not for the elite,” Fontana said. “I’m running to make sure the voices of working families, educators and neighbors are heard loud and clear at the Statehouse.”
The event drew an enthusiastic crowd of supporters who echoed Fontana’s message of integrity, transparency and community-driven leadership. Guests enjoyed local food, music, speakers and family-friendly activities celebrating both the campaign launch and Fontana’s birthday in a spirit of unity and forward momentum.
Fontana’s campaign will continue to focus on direct engagement with voters through listening sessions, neighborhood events and volunteer outreach across the district.
