The Garaway football team pulled out a 36-35 nonleague win over Norwayne on Sept. 5.
Wyatt Reifenschneider caught a two-point conversion pass from Christian Raber to put the Pirates ahead for good in the fourth quarter.
Pirates quarterback Grady Miller completed 17-of-23 passes for 294 yards and two touchdowns with an interception, Matthew Frey rushed for 120 yards and two touchdowns on 21 carries, Micah Yoder caught nine passes for 175 yards and a score, Trey Miller caught five passes for 104 yards, Jaxon Garber caught a 6-yard touchdown pass, and Colson Keller rushed for a 1-yard score.
Wyatt Gordon led the defense with 11 tackles (three sacks) while Yoder had two interceptions.
Girls golf
Garaway beat Claymont 187-233 in Inter-Valley Conference play on Sept. 4.
Kylie Miller led the Lady Pirates with a 35.
Garaway defeated Strasburg-Franklin 179-245 in an IVC clash on Sept. 2.
Sara Weaver paced the Lady Pirates with a 36 and was followed by Miller with a 41.
