Garaway football tops Zanesville; girls golf stays strong in IVC play
Pirates roll to 48-14 win on the gridiron while Kylie Miller and Sara Weaver lead back-to-back victories on the course
The Garaway football team picked up a 48-14 nonleague win over Zanesville on Sept. 12.
Matthew Frey rushed for 124 yards and three scores while returning three kickoffs for 58 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Pirates.
Grady Miller completed 10-of-16 passes for 189 yards and two scores. Micah Yoder caught three balls for 104 yards and a touchdown while Jaxon Garber caught a 22-yard touchdown pass.
Dillon King had an interception and four tackles to lead the defense. Wyatt Miller also had four tackles.
Girls golf
Garaway picked up a 166-256 win over Newcomerstown in Inter-Valley Conference play on Sept. 11.
