At a public hearing Feb. 19, the Lake Township Board of Zoning Appeals approved a request by applicant and property owner Bonsky Holding Co. LLC for a use variance to construct a commercial building on a residential lot at 3036 State St. NW, located in a Village Residential (V-R) zone.

Another applicant withdrew an appeal.

The next meeting of the Lake Township Board of Zoning Appeals will be held March 19 at 7 p.m. at Township Hall, 12360 Market Ave. North. All meetings are open to the public.

Consisting of five members and one alternate, all appointed by the Lake Township trustees, the board hears and decides appeals, authorizes variance requests, and issues or revokes conditional zoning certificates. Those who wish to speak at BZA hearings are asked to take an oath or affirmation and state their name and address for the record. Decisions of the board are final but may be appealed to the Stark County Court of Common Pleas.
