Why should residents vote for you?

“My record isn’t just a promise. It’s proven. I’ve delivered real tax savings for our residents by eliminating a 3-mill levy in 2019 and paying down our building debt, creating a potential 20-year savings. At the same time, we’ve expanded opportunities for our students through free breakfast and lunch, back-to-school supplies and backpacks, no workbook fees, and an expanded curriculum.”

Please share about your experience as a board member.

“My commitment goes beyond budgets and buildings. It is about the future of our children. I enjoy knowing our students and celebrating their successes, even after graduation, ensuring they feel prepared for their next chapter. I also value our dedicated staff and sincerely appreciate the work they do every day to support students academically and emotionally.”

What sets you apart from other candidates?

“I can only speak for myself and the work I do consistently, much of which began long before I was elected. I don’t just attend monthly meetings; I’m present at the events and activities where our students grow and shine: book fairs, wax museums, literacy nights, art fairs, academic challenges, concerts, plays, athletic events, and more. I choose to be there because I truly want to know and celebrate our students.”

What issues facing the school are you most concerned about?

“Unfortunately, the reality we face today requires making difficult decisions. I have voted in favor of not only investing in the security of our schools, but I have also consistently supported expanding resources that invest in the emotional well-being of our students and staff. Protecting every student, staff member, and visitor who walks through our doors or attends our events is a responsibility I take seriously. Physical safety is critical, but so is emotional support. That is why we have expanded mental health services to include evenings, weekends, and summer months.”

What do you hope to accomplish if re-elected?

“I have consistently made sound financial decisions that directly benefit you, the taxpayers. As I mentioned, my goal is to pay off our building debt potentially two decades early. I also serve on the Belmont-Harrison Vocational School Board, and together we are working to expand career training by adding a Vet Tech program, giving students a competitive edge after graduation. Additionally, we will continue offering College Credit Plus courses, which save families thousands of dollars in future college costs.

“To the residents of our district, thank you for the opportunity to serve you. It is an honor to work on behalf of our students, our dedicated staff, and our community. As a board member, my role is to provide leadership, set policy, and ensure strong financial stewardship, while supporting our administration in carrying out the day-to-day operations of the district. I take that responsibility seriously and will continue to focus on decisions that strengthen our schools and benefit our community. I would be grateful for the opportunity to continue this work.”
