Harrison SWCD announces 2026 tree seedling sale
Flowering and fruiting shrubs and small trees offered include white flowering dogwood and American plum

The Harrison Soil and Water Conservation District is now accepting orders for its 2026 tree seedling sale, offering a variety of fruit trees, evergreens and native hardwoods for area residents.
Orders must be received by April 2, and quantities are limited. Payment must accompany each order, and all sales are final.
Seedlings will be available for pickup April 9 and 10 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be no refunds for orders not picked up.
Available species are sold in packets, with most packets containing five trees. Offerings include fruit and berry varieties such as elderberry, pawpaw and persimmon. Pear trees, including Beurre Danjou and Sunrise varieties, are sold in packets of two.
Evergreens available include eastern white pine and Norway spruce. Deciduous selections include white oak, sugar maple, black walnut, Chinese chestnut, American hazelnut, wild black cherry and catalpa.

The order form identifies trees with symbols noting their benefits, including wildlife value, fall color, edible fruit or nuts, flowering or fruiting characteristics and tolerance for wet soil.
Orders should be mailed to Harrison SWCD, 538 N. Main St., Cadiz, OH 43907. Those wishing to pay by card may email their order to hswcd@harrisoncountyohio.org, and an invoice will be sent after the deadline.
