Crossroads Farm plans Christmas party for area youth
The evening will feature food, games and a Christmas pajama contest
Sunday, Dec. 21, will offer an evening of holiday fun for area youth as Crossroads Farm hosts a Christmas party at The Mine. Doors will open at 6 p.m., with the event beginning at 6:30 p.m. The party is open to students in grades six through 12.
The evening will feature food, games and a Christmas pajama contest. Each student who attends will receive a gift.
“Crossroads Farm loves to show students the tangible love of Christ through events like our Christmas party,” said Carrie Olsen, administrative director of Crossroads Farm at The Mine. “I love this night each year. It is full of laughter, joy and hope. We get to share with students who Christ is and what he has done for us. My hope is that our space is packed with students.”
Olsen encouraged families to spread the word to students throughout the area, noting that transportation is available.
“We are looking forward to a great night. Please share the word with any sixth through 12th grade students you know,” she said. “We have bus stops in eight towns." Check Facebook or Instagram at @crossroadsfarmthemine for more information.
At Olsen’s request, volunteers gathered Wednesday, Dec. 10, to help wrap the many gifts that will be distributed during the party. Volunteers arrived throughout the day to relieve others and ensure the task was completed.
“I was very surprised, but happy to see the volunteers respond to the request for wrapping the many gifts we had,” Olsen said. “We all worked from morning to early afternoon to complete the task.”
Crossroads Farm and The Mine thanked all volunteers who helped prepare for the event.
“I was very surprised to see the progress we all made in such a few short hours,” Olsen said.
Crossroads Farm at The Mine is located at 144 S. Main St. in Cadiz.
