Blues for a Cure returns to Cadiz
The two-night June 26-27 benefit at Sally Buffalo Park will support the WVU Harrison Community Hospital Foundation and Harrison County Cancer Crusaders
The 15th annual Sean Carney's Blues For A Cure 2026 – Harrison County will be held June 26-27 at The Mark at The Park stage at Sally Buffalo Park, 43000 Industrial Park Road, Cadiz.
The free public concert begins at 6 p.m. June 26 and 4 p.m. June 27. Proceeds will benefit the WVU Harrison Community Hospital Foundation and the Harrison County Cancer Crusaders.
Organizers said the Harrison County event has raised more than $320,000 since its inception. Blues For A Cure events have raised more than $500,000 since Carney established the fund in 2007.
This is the sixth year the event has been held as a two-night concert at The Mark at The Park stage.
The lineup includes the Gabe Stillman Band, an International Blues Challenge finalist and winner of the competition's Best Guitarist Award. Also scheduled to perform are the Sean Carney Band, 2015 International Blues Challenge Guitar Champion Noah Wotherspoon, keyboardist Ricky Nye, Austin and The Syd Experience, and harmonica player and vocalist Jake Friel of Canton.
The event also will serve as the release of "Blues Cures 17," the 17th CD in a series of live studio recordings featuring artists who have participated in Blues For A Cure events. Featured performers on the release include Sean Carney, John Nemeth, Gabe Stillman, Jake Friel, JP Soars, Anne Harris and Jimmy Adler.
The CDs will be available with a minimum $10 donation.
The event is BYOB. Food, water and soft drinks will be available for purchase from on-site vendors. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, tents and blankets.
A limited number of $50 VIP/sponsor stage-side tent tickets for Saturday will be available and include food and beverages.
Tickets are available at events.humanitix.com/blues-for-a-cure.
