River View girls golf advances to districts after strong postseason play
Lady Bears post season-best at MVL tourney and place fourth at sectionals to qualify for Cambridge Country Club competition Oct. 1
River View High School girls varsity golf played in the MVL Postseason Tourney. Their team score was 390, a season best, and they placed fourth out of nine teams.
Individual scores for River View were Kortnee Mickle with an 80, which earned her personal record and first-team All-Tournament; Addyson Blair with 99; Shieann Waldren with 108; Madison Bell with 120; and Carlie Stottlemire with 103, personal record.
The ladies then played in the sectional tournament on Sept. 23 at Jaycees Golf Course. They were fourth out of 13 teams with a 418 and will move on to districts Wednesday, Oct. 1 at Cambridge Country Club.
Individual scores for River View were Mickle with 84 (third out of 57), Blair with 106, Waldren with 100, Bell with 133 and Stottlemire with 128.
