Ridgewood Lady Generals pick up a soccer victory
The Ridgewood Lady Generals defeated St. Thomas Aquinas 6-1 to notch their first win of the season on Aug. 25.
Pru Fechuch and Lucy Ekleberry both scored goals in the second half to put the game out of reach. Jayvin Gress and Alexis Udischas each had a goal in the first half.
"We definitely needed this win with the start of the season in full swing," Ridgewood coach Amy Art-Johnson said. "The girls were able to rally together and execute our game plan. It was nice to see the ball go in the back of the net as much as it did."
Ridgewood held a 44-3 advantage in shots.
"Going forward, we've got to tighten up our successful passing percentage and continue to shoot the ball," Art-Johnson said.
