New plumbing permit information announced
Coshocton Public Health District now requires permits for most commercial plumbing work tied to new construction or major replacements
A plumbing permit is now required from the Coshocton Public Health District for any plumbing work for commercial buildings related to new construction, additions, or if the plumbing is replaced in a building or room. A permit is not required for minor repairs or fixture replacement.
All commercial plumbing work must be done by a licensed plumbing contractor who is registered with the Coshocton Public Health District. A commercial plumbing application must be accompanied by architectural plans.
Call the Coshocton Public Health District for commercial plumbing permits at 740-622-1426.
Inspections will be performed by Zanesville Muskingum Plumbing Department's Robert Lewis, lead certified plumbing inspector. Call 740-454-9741 ext. 229 or email bobl@zmchd.org.
Plumbing inspectors assure the installation meets the State of Ohio Code requirements. These inspections help to protect the public's health and protect the community water source from cross connections and contamination.
