Lake Park Clean-Up Day set for April 5
The Friends of the Parks will hold the annual Lake Park Clean-Up Day on Saturday, April 5 from 9 a.m. to noon.
The community is invited to help spruce up the grounds and flower beds at Lake Park. Volunteers will meet at 9 a.m. at the park district office and will be assigned to work groups. Tasks to be completed that day include litter and limb pick-up, cleaning out flower beds, mulching beds, spreading mulch in playgrounds, light tree trimming, lake shore clean-up, and others as time permits.
Volunteers are asked to bring work gloves, pruners, garden rakes, wheelbarrows, and other gardening tools. A picnic lunch will be served at noon for all of the volunteers, compliments of the Friends of the Parks.
Anyone with questions may call the park district office at 740-622-7528.
