Lady Bears compete at state in bowling
Lady Bears finish eighth at OHSAA State Tournament in Columbus, marking historic season achievement
On Feb. 28, the River View High School girls bowling team made the trip to HP Lanes in Columbus for the OHSAA State Tournament.
The Lady Bears battled all day to shoot 3,223 for three regulation games and five bakers games to advance to the top eight matchplay. The Lady Bears finished the day in eighth place capping off a fantastic season. They had an undefeated regular season, three tournament championships, were sectional champions, district runner up and the first Lady Bears team in school history to advance to the OHSAA State Championships.
The Lady Bears were led by sophomore Morgan Rowe with a 537 series for a 23rd place finish in singles, junior Karley Stocker with a 503 series for a 31st place finish in singles, freshman Kendall Duff with a 483 series for a 39th place finish in singles, junior Kaylie Bryan with a 61st place finish in singles and sophomore Mya Dobson with a 64th place finish in singles.
