Hopewell finishes fourth at State Special Olympics
Hopewell Indians fall to Hamilton County in bronze medal game at Ohio State University
The Hopewell Indians finished fourth at the Special Olympics Ohio Indoor Winter Games at Ohio State University.
Hopewell fell to Hamilton County 40-22 in the bronze medal game Feb. 22.
The Indians competed in Division V at the annual winter games.
Hopewell dropped their opener Feb. 21 to Union County 37-24.
Union County went on to take the gold medal with a 34-33 victory over Williams County in the championship game. It was Union County’s first state title in program history.
Next up for the Indians, as a celebration of Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month in March, Hopewell will play their annual celebrity basketball game Thursday, March 12.
The Hopewell Heroes will take on the Coshocton Legends at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 12 at Ridgewood Middle School.
