The Christmas season can be especially difficult for
families who might already be struggling. If you are looking for ways to help, The Salvation Army has several programs that are always in need of volunteers
or donations.
According to Corina Stein, envoy in charge of The
Coshocton Salvation Army, volunteers are needed to ring the bell at the red
kettles set up around the community. “Every penny or dollar dropped into those
kettles helps us stay open year round.”
Walmart has an Angel Tree set up. Angels can be chosen
from the tree with specific items a local child wants. These are for children
under the age of 5, and gifts must be returned to Walmart by Friday, Dec. 12.
