Grace UMC cookbook fundraiser to support new kitchen project
Sales of the 500-recipe collection will help furnish the Wooster church’s rebuilt kitchen and fund community outreach events.
Grace UMC’s United Methodist Women’s Group announced the arrival and sale of its brand-new church cookbook, created and printed by Morris Press Cookbooks of Kearney, Nebraska.
The congregation has complied this collection featuring 500 recipes, from appetizers to desserts. Each recipe includes the contributor’s name.
Profits from the cookbook sales will directly benefit the furnishing of a new kitchen at the 422 Walnut St. location, which in turn will benefit the community through local outreach programs including free monthly community dinners and events such as Munch 'n' Mingle, Sweet Sunday and Breakfast with the Easter Bunny.
Cookbooks are $15 each and can be purchased at the church office (by check), temporarily located at Fourth and Chestnut streets, or at the church bazaar on Thursday and Friday, Nov. 6-7.
