Girls basketball roundup: Edison tops Coshocton, East Canton beats Ridgewood
Edison defeated Coshocton and East Canton pulled away from Ridgewood in Thursday’s girls basketball action, while John Glenn topped River View.
Wildcats down Redskins
In girls basketball Thursday night, Jan. 8, Edison pulled away to defeat the Coshocton Lady Redskins 59-37.
Zoey Tumblin led Coshocton with 20 points, accounting for more than half of the Lady Redskins’ offense.
Despite the loss, Coshocton remains at 6-2 on the season.
East Canton defeats Ridgewood
East Canton placed three players in double figures and pulled away in the second half to defeat Ridgewood 60-38.
East Canton carried a slim 25-19 advantage into halftime, then took control after the break by outscoring the Lady Generals 35-19 over the final two quarters.
Ridgewood was led by Alaena Huff and Taylor Hahn, who each scored 12 points.
Muskies win against Bears
Elaina Brenly scored 19 points in a losing effort as John Glenn defeated River View 48-33.
