Coshocton BPW announces contest winners
Klein advances to Region 3 Competition after success at local event held Feb. 16
Coshocton Business and Professional Women held its Individual Development Competition at the Presbyterian Church Feb. 16. Shelly Klein was named the 2026 ID local winner. She will represent Coshocton BPW Saturday, Feb. 28 at the Region 3 Competition on Zoom.
Klein is a seven-year Coshocton BPW member who recently completed the 13-Module Individual Development Course. “Grief” was the topic of her five-minute speech.
Judging was based on two phases of competition: a five-minute prepared speech and a two-minute impromptu.
Vice President Sheila Mayse presented a program on self-care. She handed out tips on journaling prompts and a 30-day self-care challenge. Members and guests were able to use a massage chair, dip their hands in paraffin wax and take home a brown sugar hand scrub.
Mayse provided two self-care gift baskets. One was awarded to guest Jamie Henderson and one to member Bailey Bowman.
The next meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, March 16 in The Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall. The program will be a demonstration by the Coshocton Canine Unit.
